Plan to make coil-bound books or journals?
The Rubi-Coil is ideal for these projects -- with the Rubi-Coil,
you can punch 6 to 8 pages at a time with ease, or 10 sheets of 20# bond
paper at a time.
This is the machine we sell to teachers and instructors, rubber stamp stores and scrapbook stores, artists
who make thick journals, and companies that use plastic spiral coil to bind their
catalogs.
The RubiCoil machine is a heavier, desktop coil punch, sturdier and more
powerful than the lightweight stainless steel punches. It has an adjustable paper
guide for more control in aligning the paper, and the hole pattern is printed in
the white area where the paper goes into the machine, so you can see exactly
where each hole will appear on your paper. The RubiCoil punches 6 to 8
pages of text-weight paper at once, or 3 to 4 pieces of card stock, depending on
the weight of the card stock. (The box says it will punch 10 sheets of 20# bond
paper, but most of us don't use paper that thin.) This machine will punch
chipboard but it will not
punch matboard. To make matboard covers, you can punch a template with the RubiCoil, then use the
template as a guide for drilling individual holes with the Japanese
Book Drill.
The RubiCoil machine is $179 plus shipping. The RubiCoil machines
is shipped from the West Coast warehouse. Coils and all of our other products are
shipped from Atlanta, Georgia.
RubiCoil Spiral Coil Punch: $179.00
Both the RubiCoil and the Coil
Mac punch four 4mm holes per inch -- so the same 4:1 spiral
coils we sell can be used with either machine.
The Coil Mac, like the RubiCoil, is shipped directly from the West Coast
warehouse. Because the shopping cart calculates shipping only from our
offices in Atlanta, shipping charges for the Coil Mac will not be shown on the
shopping cart order total, but will be added manually after the order is
received.
Coil Mac heavy-duty coil binding punch: $365.00
